The Word of YHWH…not the word of man

From the very beginning…

“Now the serpent was more subtle than any animal of the field which YHWH had made. He said to the woman, “Has God really said, ‘You shall not eat of any tree of the garden’?” The serpent said to the woman, “You won’t really die, for God knows that in the day you eat it, your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.””

–Genesis 3:1,4-5

In Psalm 12:7, YHWH promised to preserve His Word from “this GENERATION for ever.”

YHWH’s words are flawless words,
as silver refined in a clay furnace, purified seven times. You will keep them, YHWH.
You will preserve them from this generation forever.”

Preservation served to prevent accidental corruption of the text during transmission. Also, this divine preservation counters the deliberate, concentrated war on the Bible by Satan and his agents.

This conspiracy to pervert the Word of YHWH is world wide, and dates to the most ancient of times. The Word has been under attack since the serpent deceived Eve. The enemy of mankind, knowing that the scriptures lead to salvation, causes man to doubt the Bible, reject the Bible, and even alter the Bible. The corruptions are as numerous as the heresies which spawned them. YHWH has strengthened and purified His Word, that it may stand against this assault.

Martin Luther once said:

“The Bible is like a lion; it does not need to be defended; just let it loose and it will defend itself.”

YHWH has preserved His Word, and it can defend itself. Despite the opposition of devil and man, YHWH’s Word remains pure, inspired, and inerrant.

How do we know that heretics have attempted to change the Word of YHWH? YHWH has given us warning about heretics bringing perversions of the gospel. YHWH takes His Word very seriously. He has preserved it for us. He has commanded us not to change it in any way. He has also given us warning about those who alter it.

You shall not add to the word which I command you, neither shall you take away from it, that you may keep the commandments of YHWH your Elohim which I command you. Now, Israel, listen to the statutes and to the ordinances which I teach you, to do them; that you may live, and go in and possess the land which YHWH, the Elohim of your fathers, gives you.”

–Deuteronomy 4:1-2

“Whatever thing I command you, that you shall observe to do. You shall not add to it, nor take away from it.”

–Deuteronomy 12:32

“If a prophet or a dreamer of dreams arises among you, and he gives you a sign or a wonder, and the sign or the wonder comes to pass, of which he spoke to you, saying, “Let’s go after other gods” (which you have not known) “and let’s serve them,” you shall not listen to the words of that prophet, or to that dreamer of dreams; for YHWH your Elohim is testing you, to know whether you love YHWH your Elohim with all your heart and with all your soul. You shall walk after YHWH your Elohim, fear him, keep his commandments, and obey his voice. You shall serve him, and cling to him. That prophet, or that dreamer of dreams, shall be put to death, because he has spoken rebellion against YHWH your Elohim, who brought you out of the land of Egypt and redeemed you out of the house of bondage, to draw you aside out of the way which YHWH your Elohim commanded you to walk in. So you shall remove the evil from among you. If your brother, the son of your mother, or your son, or your daughter, or the wife of your bosom, or your friend who is as your own soul, entices you secretly, saying, “Let’s go and serve other gods”—which you have not known, you, nor your fathers; of the gods of the peoples who are around you, near to you, or far off from you, from the one end of the earth even to the other end of the earth— you shall not consent to him nor listen to him; neither shall your eye pity him, neither shall you spare, neither shall you conceal him; but you shall surely kill him. Your hand shall be first on him to put him to death, and afterwards the hands of all the people. You shall stone him to death with stones, because he has sought to draw you away from YHWH your Elohim, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.”

–Deuteronomy 13:1-10

Every word of God is flawless.
He is a shield to those who take refuge in him. Don’t you add to his words,
lest he reprove you, and you be found a liar.”

–Proverbs 30:5-6

“For most certainly, I tell you, until heaven and earth pass away, not even one smallest letter or one tiny pen stroke shall in any way pass away from the Torah, until all things are accomplished. Whoever, therefore, shall break one of these least commandments, and teach others to do so, shall be called least in the Kingdom of Heaven; but whoever shall do and teach them shall be called great in the Kingdom of Heaven. “Don’t think that I came to destroy the Torah or the Prophets. I didn’t come to destroy, but to fulfill.”

–Matthew 5:17-19

“For I know that after my departure, vicious wolves will enter in among you, not sparing the flock. Men will arise from among your own selves, speaking perverse things, to draw away the disciples after them.”

–Acts 20:29-30

“Because knowing YHWH, they didn’t glorify him as YHWH, and didn’t give thanks, but became vain in their reasoning, and their senseless heart was darkened. Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools, and traded the glory of the incorruptible YHWH for the likeness of an image of corruptible man, and of birds, four-footed animals, and creeping things. Therefore YHWH also gave them up in the lusts of their hearts to uncleanness, that their bodies should be dishonored among themselves; who exchanged the truth of YHWH for a lie, and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen.”

–Romans 1:21-25

“I marvel that you are so quickly deserting him who called you in the grace of Messiah to a different “good news”, but there isn’t another “good news.” Only there are some who trouble you and want to pervert the Good News of Messiah. But even though we, or an angel from heaven, should proclaim to you any “good news” other than that which we preached to you, let him be cursed. As we have said before, so I now say again: if any man preaches to you any “good news” other than that which you received, let him be cursed.”

–Galatians 1:6-9

“Regard the patience of our Lord as salvation; even as our beloved brother Paul also, according to the wisdom given to him, wrote to you, as also in all of his letters, speaking in them of these things. In those, there are some things that are hard to understand, which the ignorant and unsettled twist, as they also do to the other Scriptures, to their own destruction. You therefore, beloved, knowing these things beforehand, beware, lest being carried away with the error of the wicked, you fall from your own steadfastness.”

–2 Peter 3:15-17

“I testify to everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book, if anyone adds to them, may God add to him the plagues which are written in this book. If anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, may God take away his part from the tree of life, and out of the holy city, which are written in this book.”

–Revelation 22:18-19

Consequences

“Then the lawless one will be revealed, whom YHWH will kill with the breath of his mouth, and destroy by the manifestation of his coming; even he whose coming is according to the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders, and with all deception of wickedness for those who are being lost, because they didn’t receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved. Because of this, YHWH sends them a working of error, that they should believe a lie; that they all might be judged who didn’t believe the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness. “

–2 Thessalonians 2:8-12

Do you have enough faith in the genuine truth of YHWH’s Word that you will obey it instead of the counterfeit doctrines of men? If you do not then YHWH has promised to send you a strong delusion that you should believe a lie and be damned. The false doctrines of men will cause many good people to be eternally lost. There is nothing worse than causing a person to pass from this life with the false hope of going to Heaven. Anything that differs from what YHWH says in the Bible is false doctrine which is designed by Satan to cause people to be eternally lost.
